Summary:

Wood Fabricator & Specialty Parts Shop staff members are responsible for assembling cabinetry using shop drawings. Specialty wood parts are built and assembled in our Colmar specialty parts shop and sent to alternate location(s) for finishing/completion.  Production demands must be met regularly while supporting Company standards of acceptable quality.

Essential Functions include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Assembling/building wood parts for cabinetry.
  2. Building specialty items based on daily production schedule.
  3. Skilled operation of power tools.
  4. Prior woodworking skills preferred.
  5. Meets quality standards with assistance from management and upholds integrity of product.
  6. Maintains machinery and equipment in a safe manner.
  7. Ability to read and interpret dimensions.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Keeps work area neat and clean.
  2. Reports any safety issues immediately to safety coordinator and/or management.
  3. Follows standards as set forth in the Century Handbook including memorandums/addendums.
  4. Communicates personnel matters immediately to Human Resources/Century Management.

Qualifications:

  1. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  2. Must be able to lift 15(+) pounds regularly. Components, parts, and other misc. materials are handled with care daily.
  3. All production personnel, due to the nature of the work, are required to stand on their feet for an entire shift (with exception of break periods and lunch).
